Dublin is unique among world capitals insofar as it offers such a wide variety of top quality golf courses, all within easy access of the city centre. Just a short journey north of the city you will find the famous Portmrnock Golf Club and a little further on, The Island Golf Club.

Until recently, the Island was only accessible by boat! South of the city is Pat Ruddy’s wonderful links, Tbe European Club, a magnificent if somewhat eccentric layout featuring 20 holes! Druids Glen is closeby, another unique golf course. Royal Dublin is also in the mix. And there are plenty more top courses to challenge you, Carton Montgomerie or Druids Heath, for instance. Ireland golf at it’s finest!

Portmarnock
One of Ireland’s most prestigious and challenging courses. Designed by Bernhard Langer, Portmarnock links is laid out on the classic link’s landscape which once formed part of the old Jameson Estate (the famous Jameson Irish whiskey was distilled by this family).
From the 1st hole, a short par 4 framed on the right by an ancient graveyard and a fairway traversed by water, to the magnificent 18th a golfing masterpiece, each distinctive hole provides a unique and exciting challenge.

Island
Located across the estuary from Malahide, just north of Portmarnock. This beautiful links is not actually an island but a narrow spur of land bounded on three sides by Donabate beach, the sea and Broadmeadow estuary. Nestling between the highest sand dunes of any links course in Ireland, its rugged beauty cannot fail to impress.
Once sampled, it is a golfing experience never to be forgotten.

County Louth (Baltray)
A truly top quality golf links, which remains undiscovered by many golfers.
Memorable fairways resemble long narrow green ribbons among the brownish hued landscape dominated by knee length, but sparse, grass in the rough. Visually very appealing but in high winds, the fairways can be elusive targets indeed. The greens are also among the best in Ireland.

Royal Dublin

Located on the North East Coast of Dublin approximately 5 km from the city centre and just 15 minutes drive from Dublin Airport.
Enjoy the excellent condition of this Championship Links and particularly the fine and testing closing holes. In particular the decision to try the long carry over the ‘garden’ is one many golfers have regretted.

European Club
Already ranked as the 24th best golf course in the world, an almost unbelievable achievement for a course so young.
It took the vision and foresight of Pat Ruddy to make this a reality. What he has created from the scrubland and sand dunes will live on for centuries to come, as one of the most authentic golf tests to be found anywhere in the world.
Opening gently, the challenge stiffens with each passing hole. Many will have good reason to remember the 7th while the 8th is as beautiful a golf hole you are likely to find.

Druid’s Glen
Voted European Golf club of the year in 2000.
Situated in the heart of county Wicklow, between the Irish Sea and the Wicklow mountains. Druid’s Glen holds a certain mystique, as it captures the essence of Ireland’s rich heritage and history.
Beautifully presented throughout with stunning features such as the Druid’s Altar at the short 12th while the 18th with water cascading into three lakes, brings a memorable golf experience to a close.
